Come and stay in Curlew Cottage, a Grade 2 listed south-facing cottage dating from around 1790 in the charming village of West Bretton. The 1-bedroom cottage is an easy walk to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park and just a short drive or bus trip to The Hepworth Wakefield, so it’s ideal for art-lovers.
The National Coal Mining Museum for England is nearby, and so are Horbury, Ossett and Wakefield city centre itself.
Curlew Cottage has been refurbished to a very high standard, retaining many original features, with oak beams and open country views.
Curlew Cottage comprises of a living room with a cosy multi-fuel burner, a kitchen downstairs. Upstairs there is a large modern bathroom and a king-size bedroom. There is a small, private garden away from the
cottage for sitting out on those sunny days, and a car parking space for one car.
