About
Pugneys Light Railway is a 7¼” gauge passenger-carrying miniature railway, providing train rides for all the family! Located in Pugneys Country Park, the team run semi-scale and ‘minimal’ (full-size very narrow, narrow gauge) locomotives powered by steam, battery and petrol/diesel engines. These haul sit-a-stride coaches for the passengers.
Tickets are £2 (each trip is a return journey).
Regular hours are Saturday and Sunday, 11am – 4pm (5pm during the summer).
Trains also run most bank holidays and weekdays during main school holidays, but this is subject to staffing. Closed during bad weather.
