Candles, palm trees, antique chandeliers, Latin rhythms, photos of Cuba and, of course, the odd homage to Che Guevara… Qubana is the pearl of Wakefield, a restaurant and bar that transports you to the famed Carribbean island.
Located in the former Barclays Bank building, the incredible transformation of this nineteenth century space has seen many of the original architectural features of the building enhanced – there’s even the opportunity to dine in the original bank vault.
Our top tip would be to grab some Cuban and Spanish fusion tapas (though main dishes are also available), before enjoying an after dinner rum (or two) on the beautiful roof terrace. Just don’t blame us when you’re inspired to book a dream holiday to Cuba!
