For some its a well kept secret but those in the know spend their Friday nights listening to some of the best British, European and American musicians, playing modern and contemporary music over at Wakefield Jazz.

Tucked away in Wakefield Sports Club just outside the city, Wakefield Jazz provides the highest quality live jazz every Friday from 7:30pm.

Having built up an excellent reputation with musicians and audience alike, this intimate venue provides good rapport and an excellent evening of performances for any music fan.

There is a bar available before each performance. There is no membership fee and everyone is welcome.

By Road:
from M62 (J30) travel south on A642 through Stanley and on past Pinderfields hospital on Stanley Road. At the traffic lights at bottom of hill turn right into Eastmoor Road. Entrance to club is 500m on left.
From M1 (J41) travel south on A650 to join leeds Road (A61). At traffic lights turn left onto Westfield Road and then left onto College Grove Road and bear right onto Eastmoor Road. Club entrance is 200m on right.

(You may wish to use WF1 3RZ for satnavs to arrive closest to our entrance which is off Eastmoor Road)
