About
Queen’s Mill, previously known as Allinsons Mill and before that Castleford Mill, is the world’s largest stone grinding flour mill, with twenty pairs of stones.
It has been producing flour for an almost unbroken period of more than 900 years.
Castleford is an important junction between the Rivers Aire and Calder, and owes its very existence to the River Aire.
Join Castleford Heritage Trust as they lead you along the River Aire exploring the history of Castleford and its influence on the Queens Mill.
