In The Zone Family Day

Pontefract Racecourse’s last Sunday race meeting of the season is their annual In-The-Zone Family Day in August.

On this special Sunday 6 zones are set up around the racecourse to suit everyone’s interests, including:

The Industry Zone – Behind the Scenes Talk in the Winners Enclosure

The Horse Zone – Join the ex-racehorses during a parade of ex-racers

The Quiet Zone – Enjoy a free tea or coffee with us while you read the Racing Post and sort out your selections.

The Newcomers Zone – Meet our ‘Here to Help’ team who’ll show you around and explain how an afternoon at the races works.

The Tipster Zone – Listen to the expert Punters Panel in the Winners Enclosure

The Kids Zone – Enjoy the Kids zone throughout the afternoon in the Picnic Enclosure.

There will also be a funfair, free sweets, activity packs and racecards for kids and a ‘Hunt The Golden Horseshoe’ competition on every Family Sunday!

Kids, parents and grandparents are encouraged to come together on these special family days for a wonderful day out. Family Tickets are available which include 2x Grandstand and Paddock tickets and Under 18s for £27 (saving £9!) These tickets can only be booked in advance. With excellent views of the course from all of the enclosures, the option of private boxes and hospitality packages, a selection of dining delights and drink outlets, the In-The-Zone Family Day is a great way to round off the weekend and spend your Sunday!

Gates will be opened from 11:30am with the first race likely to be around 2pm (timings will be confirmed nearer the race meeting).
