Wakefield Children’s University are hosting a free family event at Castleford College. The May-Hem! open event is an opportunity for CU members and their friends and family to take part in activities provided by Learning Destinations and College tutors, all under one roof! The event will also be open to members of the public for children aged 5 – 14.


Learning destinations attending include Castleford Heritage Trust, Castleford Library, Girlguiding Whitwood Division, Hemsworth Dragons ARLFC, Phoenix Martial Arts, Rothwell Gymnastics, RSPB St Aidan’s, Studio 64, The Hepworth Wakefield, Wakefield City Cheerleaders, Wakefield Museums & Castles and Wakefield School of Tennis.


Activities on offer include crafts, rugby games, interactive blaze pods, gymnastics skills, learning to play drums and ukuleles, mini tennis, tombola and so much more!


Children and their families can also gain an insight into the different courses on offer at Wakefield & Castleford College with the help of course tutors who will be delivering a selection of interactive activities.
