Join Pontefract Racecourse on 8 June for the Racing For Everyone Fixture.
At one of the most relaxing race meetings during the season, it’s an ideal way to experience a race meeting for the first time. The team want to make the race meeting as accessible to everyone as they can and have made a few additions to the day to improve the event, including:
- An orientation tour of the Racecourse and its facilities before the general public are admitted. We can explain the layout of the course and highlight the facilities for those who may have additional needs or specific accessibility requirements.
- An autism friendly mobile sensory space provided by Immersive.
- Two BSL interpreters to assist those who may be hard of hearing. They will also be signing the race commentary on the big screen.
You’ll receive a warm, friendly, Yorkshire welcome from the team at Pontefract, so come and enjoy a great evening!

There is step-free access to all the enclosures and lifts giving access to all floors in the stands. Personal assistants are admitted free of charge and there are accessible toilets in all enclosures and viewing ramps in every area.
