On the 21 October 1536, 40,000 protestors marched on Pontefract Castle during the Pilgrimage of Grace. Discover more about this popular revolt that began in Yorkshire and its leader Robert Aske. Hear how the policies of Henry VIII led to this infamous uprising, and how the rebels were eventually crushed.
This talk is for adults (16+) and is free; however, booking is recommended as places are limited.
