Sunday 19 January: Powering the Nation – Turbines
Explore renewable and non-renewable energies, whilst putting your creative skills to the test to build a working wind turbine.
Sunday 16 February: First Aid Underground
Discover the vital role of the pit nurse in this hands-on workshop, where you’ll learn to identify and treat infections by creating your own antibacterial ointment. Master essential first aid skills and discover how to stop bleeding and bandage application.
Sunday 16 March: Gas Tests
In this workshop, we will explore why gas testing is crucial in underground environments and learn about the methods used for gas testing. You’ll use scientific equipment to detect and identify various gases, ensuring safety in confined spaces.
(Please note children must be accompanied by an adult – adults do not need to book.)
