Are you running event or activities as part of Our Year? Or maybe you have a big project underway, and need some extra helping hands!

As part of the Our Year volunteering programme, we want to help our volunteers connect with community organisations in Wakefield District, and vice versa!

If you want to get involved, read on to find out more. Please note, we can only promote opportunities for groups/organisations who have public liability insurance and a safeguarding policy. If you do not have these things, please contact Nova for guidance: https://nova-wd.org.uk/

-A Community Volunteering Guidance document, which provides information about Our Year and the type of opportunities we would love to see.

-An Community Volunteering Agreement, which we ask that you sign before we can promote your volunteer role. Please read this carefully.

-A Word version of the role submission form. You may prefer to use this if you want to save your progress and come back to it later.

-A link to an e-form if you prefer this to Word (note the e-form asks you to tick and confirm you agree to the Community Volunteering Agreement

-Our Privacy Notice

It’s up to you whether you would prefer to submit a Word document to ouryear@wakefield.gov.uk or complete our e-form.

Once we have your information, we will add your opportunity to our website, and promote this to volunteers via our newsletter and social media!
