Illingworth Park is a small local park located just off Manor Road in the historic town of Ossett.

The park is the perfect spot to get back to nature in Ossett with a variety of wildflowers throughout.

Children will love a trip to Illingworth Park, with a small modern play area, football field and the opportunity to go on a dinosaur safari with the free Love Exploring app! The Love Exploring app uses the magic of augmented reality to bring to life amazing sights on a smartphone, opening up a magical world of Dinosaurs and uncovering some amazing facts.

Don’t forget the picnic basket! There are several picnic benches dotted around the park so you can bring the sandwiches and flask and have a great day out.

Illingworth Park is also home to the Illingworth Gala, held in June every year. Featuring live music, fairground rides, craft stalls and more, the gala is a hit with everyone. There’s even the opportunity to meet the Illingworth Park mascot – Brian the Bear!
