Redbox Gallery occupies a K6 telephone box in Horbury which the Horbury Civic Society purchased from BT for £1, and is one of the world’s smallest art galleries.

Featuring a rotating selection of art and exhibitions from local artists and community groups, the following artists have exhibited in Redbox: Tony Wade; Helen Thomas, Stathis Dimitriadis and One to One Development Trust.

Redbox has a strong curatorial policy which requires all commissioned artists to find a Horbury institution or organisation to engage with, and to conceive a new work inspired by that engagement.

Each artist is expected to exhibit for 3 months, though this is not a firm requirement as some works may be of longer or shorter duration.
