About

Holmfield Park is the smallest of the three parks that make up Wakefield Park and is situated on the corner between Denby Dale Road and Thornes Road. This is where the statue celebrating our most famous vegetable can be found – rhubarb!

Holmfield Park is also the location of The Holmfield Arms, situated in the former Holmfield House.

The park is located only a 15 minute walk (or 5 minute drive) from the heart of Wakefield city centre.

Holmfield Park is part of Wakefield Park, consisting of two other parks – Thornes Park and Clarence Park. Thornes Park is home to loads of activities, plus an aviary and the secret garden and Clarence Park is home to the historic Bandstand that plays host to music events throughout the year.
