This half term, scamper over to Anglers Country Bark – er, sorry, Park – for Dogs@Anglers Country Park 2024. It’s a whole week of pawsome adventures for you and your furry friend!
All week, dogs and their humans can enjoy a variety of exciting activities and competitions! This event is perfect for dog lovers of all ages and is designed to celebrate our four-legged friends with a range of entertaining and educational activities.
Each day throughout the week, enter your best pal into the Fastest Sausage Catcher Competition (50p to enter, pay in the Visitor Centre or the special Sausage Catcher station)
On Monday, take part in a Dog Themed Craft Session! This includes 3 different dog related crafts, including painting your own pot dog, paw print and creating a dog-themed greetings card (£5 per person, booking essential, call 01924 860280 or book at the Visitor Centre).
On Tuesday, have a go at mantrailing with a FREE Mantrailing Workshop. Mantrailing is the fastest growing global dog activity. Learn how dogs can be trained to search for missing people. Watch a live trail and even participate as the missing person! Plus, find out about mantrailing opportunities in your local area. Two workshops are available: 11am-12:30pm, 1:30pm-3pm (Free, booking essential, call 01924 860280 to book).
On Wednesday, there will be FREE talks on Dog Safety by the Blue Cross. Two talks are available: 11am and 12:30pm (Free, booking essential, call 01924 860280 to book).
On Thursday, the Blue Cross will be hosting talks on Pet Care. These insightful talks are aimed at enhancing the well-being of your beloved pets. Two talks are available: 11am and 12:30pm (Free, booking essential, call 01924 860280 to book).
Plus, every day there is a photography competition which is free to enter on Anglers Country Park’s Facebook page, or via email – has your furbaby got what it takes to win?
Whether you’re a seasoned dog owner or just love being around dogs, this event has something for you. Enjoy a day out in the beautiful surroundings of Anglers Country Park while participating in activities designed to celebrate and pamper your pooch!
