About

Wakefield Youth Music Theatre present the breath-taking musical smash hit Evita. With lyrics by Tim Rice and music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, Evita was first produced in 1978 and it charts the rise to fame and power of María Eva Duarte de Perón. A poor girl from Argentina who follows her dreams of becoming an actress.

Her subsequent rise in politics captured the hearts of the Argentinian people and saw her become first lady of Argentina.

The award-winning musical blockbuster features such memorable songs as Buenos AiresAnother Suitcase in Another HallOh What a Circus and of course the unforgettable Don’t Cry For Me Argentina.

Don’t miss your chance to catch Theatre Royal Wakefield‘s incredibly talented young cast in this production for the first time ever!

Warning: This production includes occasional strong language, adult themes, and some scenes that may be unsuitable for younger audience members.
