A History of Wakefield Gingerbread: Spicy life in Wakefield


Join the Wakefield Historical Society for a talk and tasting event led by nationally renowned food historian Peter Brears, which will explore the little known legacy of ‘Wakefield Gingerbread’.

RHUBARB FEST @ Wakefield Markets


Wakefield District Markets Vibrant Market will be running alongside the Rhubarb Festival, along with a variety of additional trader’s filling Teall Way and overflowing onto Brook Street! Artisan Cooks will be joining them on Brook Street on Saturday to host live interactive Rhubarb-themed cooking demonstrations where you can sample tangy rhubarb scones and fizzy Rhubarb mocktails!

RHUBARB FEST @ Yorkshire Sculpture Park


Pop into Yorkshire Sculpture Park’s food and drink outlets to enjoy homemade rhubarb inspired sweet treats, hot puddings, and delicious rhubarb jam made onsite. Book a table at The Weston to sample the new seasonal menu and take in the view whilst sipping a rhubarb gin fizz.
