Wakefield Music Collective are bringing music to this year’s Rhubarb Festival! Expect reggae, folk, country, rock, blues and pop live from the Rhu-bar.

FRIDAY 17TH FEBRUARY
11am – 11:30am: Tim Pheby
Tim is opening the Rhubarb Jam sessions -with covers from the 70’s and 80’s and some of his own songs, crafted for you to enjoy. Singer/songwriter from York playing local gigs and across the region.
12pm – 12:30pm: Sharon Garner
Solo artiste based near Hull originally from Northern Ireland Sharon’s songs reflect life, love and family offering heartfelt and honest performances, that are influenced by the wonderful Joni Mitchell.
1pm – 1:30pm: Rum Doodle
Folk & roots acoustic duo from Leeds. Play mainly their own material inspired by these islands we live in, and heavily influenced by The Dubliners, Christy Moore and Bob Dylan.
2pm – 2:30pm: Hayley Gaftarnick
Haley is a powerful, unique, soulful, singer/songwriter from Leeds. Skilled in original music writing, singing, rhythm guitar and publishing. Playing roots/reggae and soul – mainly original material & some covers.
3pm – 3:30pm: Fox Palmer
London based duo combining stunning original rock, indie & folk – creating a powerful, evocative sound. Need to be seen and heard. Fox Palmer played the Rhubarb Festival last year and is back for more.
4pm – 4:30pm: Matt Hodges
Singer/songwriter from Wakefield making his mark on the UK Country Music scene. He is an exciting, accomplished performer who showcases his craft in the UK, Europe and the USA.
SATURDAY 18TH FEBRUARY
11am – 11:30am: Jack Askew
Local young performer from Wakefield district, giving heartfelt renditions of pop/folk, blues jazz inspired classics. Exciting emerging artiste on the live music circuit.
12pm – 12:30pm: Broken Stiletto
Acoustic rock trio from Wakefield, performing a combination of originals and covers. Female vocalist with bluesy guitar and rocking bass. No broken stiletto’s worn at this gig!
1pm – 1:30pm: Daisy Dorothy
Young local acoustic alternative/indie-rock singer/songwriter playing a mix of originals and covers influenced by Harry Nilsson & The Libertines. Played Clarence Park Festival, Wakefield 2022.
2pm – 2:30pm: The Wholehearted
A three piece indie folk band from West Yorkshire. Bringing uplifting melodies with strong narrative vocal lead and a nod to bands such as The La’s & Fleet Foxes.
3pm – 3:30pm: Robin Hunt
Guitarist/singer/songwriter from Doncaster. Accomplished guitarist with soaring vocals in a raunchy country style with Indie pop sensibility. Many gigs played at pubs, venues and festivals.
4pm – 4:30pm: Diamond Dac Duo
Play an eclectic mix of rhythm & blues, jazz, and roots music, featuring experienced Blues guitarist and harmonica players Dac & Pete. If you like Rhythm & Blues, you’re sure to like these guys.
SUNDAY 19TH FEBRUARY
11am – 11:30am: Carrie Martin
True bred Yorshire lass, first picked up guitar at 4 years of age. Carrie is now an accomplished acoustic guitarist and talented singer songwriter, writing songs of pure poetry – sung from the heart.
12pm – 12:30pm: Rory Holl
Guitarist/ singer/songwriter with a vibrant mix of covers & some originals rooted in rock, pop & folk for you to think, yeah I’m glad I came to the Rhu-bar tent today.
1pm – 1:30pm: Ed & Jenson
Young duo playing an eclectic mix of pop/rock acoustic cover. Both been in local bands since they were in their early teens, play to entertain and to have fun.
2pm – 2:30pm: Tinderbox Experience
Steve & Louie (father & son) based in Wakefield, writing and performing original blues/alt rock since 2016. In 2022 released 12 song album and performed at festivals.
3pm – 3:30pm: Fishing For Compliments
Trio version of their 5 piece band, playing catchy, hook laden folk/pop songs. Played across the North and Nationally for 10 years. All their music is developed from vocalist’s Eileen’s collection of heartfelt songs.

The Rhu-Bar is open from 10am – 5pm on Friday and Saturday, and 10am – 4pm on Sunday.

West Yorkshire based band playing modern rock covers to audiences throughout the UK & Europe. Mega popular on the biker scene and rock festivals nationally. If you want to rock out on a Saturday night this band is a must see.
