Enjoy a family friendly day at Pontefract Castle. Bring your own picnic and blanket, to relax with your family and friends. Explore this historic site together and take part in all there is to offer on site.
There will be self-led family activities including giant garden games, incredible bubbles, circus skills, and a giant hula hoop maze! Don’t miss out on all the 50 Things to do activities, including story times from the Libraries team, arts and craft, sand play and so much more.
If you fancy showing off your moves, there will be music throughout and a kids disco.
Don’t worry, there will also be a nice quiet space in the tent, visit the zen den to get away from it all and have some chill time with your little ones.
Inside the Activity Zone, there will be more craft activities relating to the Pontefract Liquorice Festival! Watch out for a dance performance at 1:30 pm coming to the castle from the festival!
