Our Community Partnerships programme invited community-driven organisations from across the district to be a part of Our Year 2024. Our communities deliver so many amazing cultural events and activities and we wanted to share the incredible work they do and help them to reach new audiences. In total, over 125 organisations joined up, with many sharing their events and putting on extra activities as part of Our Year 2024. Together, they helped us to make Our Year a success!

Our district is a big place, and sometimes accessing culture can be a challenge, whether that’s because of the cost of travel, lack of transport options or mobility difficulties. But we wanted EVERYONE to be able to enjoy culture in 2024. Our Community Access Support Bursaries invited our partners to apply for funding support to help them travel to cultural events and places. We helped over 700 people visit places such as NCMME, Yorkshire Sculpture Park and even to a Featherstone Rovers home game! We also provided packs to help over 2600 individuals with transport to The Hatchling and Light Up, ensuring that culture could be enjoyed by everyone, everywhere!
