A big part of Our Year is recognising the incredible work of the diverse community groups across our district.

Our Community Partnerships programme invites community groups to be a part of Our Year. As a Community Partner, groups are invited to tell us about any events or activities they have planned, or will be planning, in 2024.

These will then be featured in the Our Year programme. This will allow their message to be spread far and wide, encouraging new audiences to attend and take part. These may be annual events such as car shows, galas, garden open days, kite festivals, scarecrow festivals, Christmas fetes, craft days and more.

Groups are also invited to create new events that link with the themes of Our Year, including the Nurture and Nourish programme, The Moving Festival and Our Stories.
